    Allow your inner painter to shine! Learn a "can't fail" process that uses color and design to create an amazing work of art that you will be proud to display. All abilities and skill-levels are welcome to explore their creativity in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. A supply fee of $10 is payable to instructor at class.
  • Magazine Mixed Media Collages

    Albert Einstein said “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” Let’s tear up the pages of fashion, art and nature magazines and then piece them back together while thinking about contrast, color and pattern. You’ll then play with acrylic paint and mixed media art supplies to tie your collage together. You can work on one or several collages at once in this playful class where you’ll learn design principles while having fun! Please bring 1-2 magazines (with color, patterns, and dark and light images) to class. A $5 supply fee is payable to the instructor. Glue, acrylic paint, and mixed media drawing supplies will be available for use.
  • Social Paint Night

    Anyone can be an artist - yes, you! No art experience is necessary to create a 16 X 20 acrylic painting on a canvas that you can take home. Step by step instruction by professional artist, Tree Croyle, will guide you through the creation of the featured painting in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Creativity, fun and mess-making are encouraged! You are welcome to bring snacks and beverages. Please note: Each session will feature a different painting. A supply fee of $5 is payable to instructor at class. Hallberg Center for the Arts is located at 5521 East Viking Blvd, Wyoming. The classroom at Hallberg Center for the Arts is not wheelchair accessible.     Parent and child pairs will work together to create an acrylic painting on two canvases. (Grandparents/grandchildren are welcome, too!) Step by step instruction from professional artist, Tree Croyle, will help to ensure that every painting is a masterpiece!   • Stained Glass Workshop - Beginner

    Learn to make beautiful art glass creations from an accomplished artisan who has been working with glass for over 36 years. Break glass with purpose and create amazing works of art that light up your life. Assembly method being taught is called copper foil, where a thin copper foil is bent over the edges of the glass so it can be soldered to hold the piece together. You can choose your own project and will need about $120-$150 in tools and supplies.  Supply list will be discussed at first class.
  • Stained Glass Workshop - Advanced

    If you’ve had any introductory glass cutting and assembly class you can bring your skills to the next level. Bring your tools and design ideas to the first class. Work on any design with any method. Learn to use lead, zinc or copper foil. You may need to purchase tools depending on what you want to do. First hour of class will be dedicated to assisting you with your projects. You are welcome to stay and continue working independently on your projects during the beginner class that goes from 7-9pm in the same room.
  • Mosaic Coasters

    Just in time for the holidays! Make a set of four beautiful stained glass mosaic coasters for use in your home or as the perfect holiday gift. Bring an old towel and rubber gloves for grouting. There is a $10 materials fee payable to the instructor the night of the class.
  • Organize Your Photos: Print & Digital

    Would you like to get your photos out of shoe boxes, unsafe albums and the computer and into a photo safe box that allows you to locate any photo within seconds? Use the convenient Power Sort™ system that holds 1200 photos to safely and quickly organize a lifetime of memories. We’ll also cover organization of digital images and slides, scanning, backing up, cloud storage programs and repairing digital images and old photos. Bring your bags of photos - you’ll have a great start on organizing them by the time you leave! A supply fee of $32 is due to instructor at class for your Power Sort™ Box.
  • Intuitive Watercolor Painting

    Recent studies have shown that adults need more playtime in their lives. Through Intuitive Watercolor Painting, you have the chance to let your creative muse "take the wheel" for awhile. A variety of watercolor paints will be available for you to explore as you never know which type of paint will delight your muse the most! You will also learn a few basic watercolor techniques like "wet-on-wet", "dry brushing" and "lifting." All materials are provided for use during class. No prior art experience necessary. Please bring a $5 supply fee payable to the instructor.
  • Mittens from Recycled Wool Sweaters

    Repurpose an old wool sweater into a great pair of mittens! Bring a sweater you don't wear or pick one up at a thrift store. Sweaters should be 80% to 100% wool. The mittens are made from a simple pattern and lined with fleece. Some sewing skills are required and you will need to bring your own sewing machine. Supply list:  Pre-shrunk sweater 80% to 100% wool - do not cut (to shrink sweater: wash on hot setting and dry on high heat), 1/4 yd. fleece material to match your sweater, straight pins, scissors, thread, bobbin and sewing machine.
  • Liquid Watercolor Mandalas

    Quiet the chatter of your mind and increase the flow of creative expression in the Liquid Watercolor Mandalas Workshop. The mandala, which means “circle,” is a cross-cultural symbol used to help you discover your inner life and connect you to the greater universe. In creating your own mandalas with colorful paint, you’ll release tension in your body, overcome the stressors of your day and become more grounded. You will likely create several mandalas, each one taking you a little deeper into creative transformation and higher awareness. No prior art experience necessary. Please bring a $5 supply fee payable to the instructor.
  • Bake & Take Holiday Cookies

    Get all your holiday treats made in one day! We will use premade dough to bake such cookies as peanut blossoms, snickerdoodles and ginger cookies. Whip up great no-bake treats like haystacks and peppermint bark. We will be working in teams of two and you will bring home 10 dozen treats each. Allergy note: All treats may be in contact with nuts, dairy and wheat products. A $25 supply fee is payable to the instructor. Bring a cookie sheet and containers to bring home your treats.
