The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
Creating a colorful, abstract sunflower is a great way to try out painting with alcohol ink (AI). Create the petals using a blower, then drop various colors to brighten and create depth in your flower. Your instructor will help guide you through each step to make one 5x7” painting. The best part of using alcohol ink is that you can wipe it off with ISO alcohol if you don’t like a part of your design. A $15 supply fee is payable to the instructor at class.

After retiring early and looking forward to traveling Covid hit and Kay needed a new hobby to engage her time. She watched endless hours of Alcohol Ink videos and started making cute pictures of animals but really did not know what she was doing. Kay then took an online Alcohol Ink (AI) class to learn how to make flowers and she was hooked. The possibilities of working with AI are endless and Kay is loving the journey.
At first, Kay made AI paintings for herself but soon her friends and neighbors started asking to see and her art. With encouragement, Kay explored new techniques and styles and is so excited to share her original paintings.
