The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
Season Registration Deadlines:
School Year deadline is August 1
Summer deadline is May 1
Completed registrations will be put on a "pending approval status" in the order the registration is received until Community Education staff can review it, all required paperwork is completed and adequate staff is available. Once you are approved, you will receive an email confirmation and your credit card will be charged the registration fee. We begin accepting summer registrations in April and school year registrations in July. Registrations received after the season deadline may not be able to start the first week of care and you will be notified when an opening becomes available.
School Age Care - Grades K-3 SAC is a before and after school childcare program where your child will engage in a variety of fun, enriching opportunities in a safe and caring environment. Before and after preschool childcare for Little Rangers preschool is offered only on days that Little Rangers preschool is in session.
Sonic - Grades 4-6 Our Sonic before and after school childcare program provides activities that encourage students to develop new skills and pursue interests while providing a place to hang out with friends in a fun environment.
