Music Lessons - Band Entering Grades 6-12
This is a great opportunity for students to improve their ability to play their band instrument! Registration is open for woodwind, brass and percussion musicians. Whether students are starting their first year of band or nearing high school graduation, these 30 minute lessons are ideal! Mr. Matheson will be provided with your contact information and will contact you to schedule your child's lessons. If you need to cancel and reschedule a lesson, please contact him by email at least 24 hours in advance. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice will not be rescheduled. -

Forest Lake Ranger Marching Band Grades 7-12
The Forest Lake Ranger Marching Band is back and we need you! We will rehearse, perform in area parades and have an end of season celebration. A band polo shirt is included in the registration fee, with a reduced fee available for those who have their shirt from previous years. Use section A to register for Marching Band and select if you need a shirt or if you have a shirt. Use section B to purchase additional shirts for yourself or family members for $31-$33 each. Shirts are available in men's and women's styles in sizes XS-XXXL. Registration deadline is May 28. Late registrants may not get their marching band polo shirt in time for the first parade. Participate in leadership development and learn about opportunities for students to get connected with volunteer projects. Golf Lessons at Green Lagoon - Adult/Child Age 6 & up
Improve your golf swing while spending time together! This series of lessons for an adult/child pair will focus on the full swing as well as chipping and putting. Instruction and useful methods of practice are included in each lesson. On the last day, golfers will have a chance to play a round of Mini Golf on their own on the course. Range balls are provided and golf clubs are available, if needed. Please register with the name of the child who will be attending the lessons. Driver's Education Age 14-Adult
This class listing is informational only. Please register on the A+ Driving School website at www.APlusDrivingSchool.net This 30-hour program will be conducted by a certified instructor from A+ Driving School and will fulfill the state driver’s education requirement. The course will address the “how to” and “whys” of safe driving. The format of the class will be lecture and active discussion. After completion of the program, students will be able to set up and participate in behind the wheel sessions to meet the six hour state requirement. The fee of $389 is payable to A+ Driving School. -
Golf Lessons Ages 6-17
This is a great opportunity for youth to learn the game of golf including correct form and club selection. Each session will cover a different aspect of the game including irons, woods, chipping and putting. We will also cover etiquette of the game and basic golf rules. For those without golf clubs, clubs will be available to use during class. Water Safety Aide Age 11 & up
The best Water Safety Instructors start out as aides. This course is designed for teens who have passed Level 6 and may be interested in working at an aquatic facility as an aide and eventually add the certification to become a Water Safety Instructor. Students will be asked to volunteer practice teach at the pool for one 8 to 10-hour session. -
Synchronized Swim Clinic Ages 9-18
This synchronized swim clinic is for swimmers interested in learning the basic skills of synchronized swimming and for the advanced synchronized swimmer. The novice synchronized swimmer must be able to swim 25 yards of the following strokes: front crawl, sidestroke, breaststroke and back crawl. The advanced synchronized swimmer will focus on both technical and artistic components that make up a routine. Both the novice and advanced swimmer will work on strength and control in figures and hybrids. New ideas for complicated hybrids and lifts that make a routine more challenging will be practiced in the advanced section. Synchronized Swim Camp Ages 9-18
Synchronized Swimming is a combination of swimming, gymnastics and dance. This sport has an artistic element that relates to the three sports. Come and explore the basics of synchronized swimming in a short camp climate. Each participant must provide their own swim suit, swim cap, nose clip and goggles. -
Rangers Competitive Tennis Camp
Girls & Boys Entering Grades 7-12 This camp will cover all aspects of the game from technical to tactical. Each day will consist of a new theme (grips, footwork, offense/defense, singles/doubles strategy and sportsmanship), proper technique and grips for a variety of strokes like groundstrokes (underspin/topspin), volleys, lobs, overheads, approach shots, serves, returns, blocks and drop shots. Coaches will use a mix of closed and open drills, allowing for students to improve strokes and apply what they’ve learned through play. Games, competitive play, and skits round out this camp to ensure it’s a fun time for all! Participants should wear sport appropriate clothing and shoes, bring two nut/peanut free snacks, sunscreen and a bottle of water every day. Rangers Aquatics ADVANCED Ages 12-18
The purpose of the ADVANCED summer swimming program is to train the athlete to swim efficiently and fast. In addition, the coaching staff will encourage physical fitness, motivation, foster self-discipline, reinforce self-esteem, build self-confidence and provide an environment where the athlete can achieve their highest potential through a challenging and fun atmosphere. The workouts will be adjusted to benefit all swimming abilities. Participants must be able to swim 50 continuous yards of front crawl and backstroke and 25 yards of butterfly and breaststroke. This class is for athletes that have middle school or high school swim team experience. -
Rangers Aquatics NOVICE Ages 8-18
The purpose of the NOVICE summer swimming program is to train the athlete to swim efficiently and fast. In addition, the coaching staff will encourage physical fitness, motivation, foster self-discipline, reinforce self-esteem, build self-confidence and provide an environment where the athlete can achieve their highest potential through a challenging and fun atmosphere. The workouts will be adjusted to benefit all swimming abilities. Participants must be able to swim 25 continuous yards of front crawl and backstroke. This class is ideal if you are thinking about joining the boys and girls swim teams. -
Boys Basketball Advanced Skills & Summer League
Entering Grades 5-12 Improve your skills with training from the high school varsity coaching staff! Training will include ball handling, shooting, rim attacks and footwork. Students will need to bring their own ball and bottle of water. We are excited to work with your student! Please include your T shirt size. Sewing - Kid's Camp Ages 9-16
Kids will learn how to use a sewing machine safely while having fun creating two projects for their bedroom. They will receive a Kids Can Sew workbook for both projects that includes the pattern. Gymnastics Summer Boot Camp Grades 7-12
The Forest Lake Area High School Gymnastics team is offering this summer boot camp for athletes interested in joining the high school team! Work with FLHS Gymnastics Team coaches to work on new skills, combinations and conditioning so you feel prepared for the next competition season. This class is designed for gymnasts entering Grades 7-12 (Fall of 2022) who are members of the FLHS Gymnastics team, or have competitive gymnastics experience and are interested in trying our for the team this upcoming Fall. Lifeguard Training Age 15-Adult
The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. Prerequisites: *Must be 15 years old on or before the final session of this course. Age will be verfied. *Swim 300 yards continuously while demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed - goggles may be used in the swim pretest only. *Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. *Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds: starting in the water, swim 20 yards (the face may be in or out of the water - goggles are not allowed), surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 feet to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point using a kick only while both hands are holding the object and keeping the face at or near the surface of the water and exit the water without using a ladder or steps. Please bring a packed lunch each day to class. -
Diving Clinic Age 11 & up

Golf League - Recreational Ages 8-16
This Recreational League is designed for golfers who have little to no prior playing experience. Our instructors offer an introduction to the fundamentals of the golf swing along with an emphasis on rules and etiquette. Learn how to swing a golf club and when to use each club in your bag on different areas around the golf course. Each session will begin with drill work and instruction followed by mini-games that lead into playing full holes on the golf course. Golf League - Competitive Ages 9-16
This Competitive League is for golfers who have experience playing golf and are familiar with the rules and etiquette of the game. Less focus will be placed on the introduction to the game and more on how to keep score and play full rounds of golf. The goal in the competitive session is for each player to play a full nine holes and turn in a scorecard. Players in this league have the opportunity to win the Little Rock’s League Championship. Fixed tee times will be assigned after the first week. Girls Basketball Skills Camp
Entering Grades 5-8 Do you like to play basketball? Are you working to strengthen certain skills? Join the Forest Lake Area High School Girls Basketball coaches and players to work on the fundamentals. Students will learn new drills that they can practice in the off season to enhance their skills for the regular season. All participants will receive a t-shirt if registered by the deadline, so please indicate size when registering. Registration deadline is June 10.
