  • Flag Football League Entering Kindergarten

    Flag Football League will focus on skills such as passing, catching, ball handling and learning game positions. In addition to the game nights, a weekly practice will be planned and communicated by the volunteer coach after the coaches meeting. Practices can be held on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Games will be played on Tuesdays, location and time TBD. For an example of previous game schedule, click here. Students must be registered by their current grade, no exceptions.   • Basketball - March Madness Grades K-3

    March Madness is here! Take your skills to the next level in this fun, fast-paced session of March Madness Basketball. Fundamentals and fun are in store. Emphasis is placed on developing the basic skills of dribbling, shooting, passing, sportsmanship and teamwork. We use engaging and dynamic games to support students’ growth including our unique three-on-three style game. This is a high-octane class with an inclusive atmosphere.
  • FLHA Jr Rangers Spring Hockey | Ages 4-8

    Come give hockey a try—we’d love to see you at the rink! This introductory program is perfect for kids who are brand new to skating or hockey. It combines Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey instruction in a fun, low-pressure environment. No prior skating experience is needed—this is the typical starting level for all new players. Registration fee is available for view online through FLHA Jr Rangers Spring Hockey. After registering, you'll receive an email voucher within a week to take to Strauss Skate in Maplewood for your child’s equipment fitting.
  • Fencing Ages 6-15

    Fencing is a vigorous sport that develops stamina, quick reactions, speed, accuracy of movement and excellent coordination. Classes begin with warm-up exercises followed by games, footwork and drills in a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Through strategic bouting, you’ll learn fencing strategies that require problem solving skills. You'll also build confidence and develop your analytical skills by learning and practicing how to referee bouts. Fencers are fully protected with a mask, jacket and gloves. All equipment is provided. Please wear long athletic pants, t-shirt, athletic shoes and bring a bottle of water.
  • Golf Lessons Grades 1-5

    Kids build skills in full swing, chipping and putting while learning confidence, sportsmanship and golf etiquette. We give kids a fun, safe space to learn the game with an 8:1 student-to-coach ratio for plenty of hands-on instruction. All equipment is provided and every participant receives a hat, handbook and other fun prizes.
  • Archery - Intro Grades K-5

    Bullseye! Are you looking to try something new or want to enhance your archery skills? Following the National Archery in the Schools Program curriculum, you will learn about all the parts of the bow and arrow, shooting techniques and enhance your skills as a shooter. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity. Shoot straight, have fun and remember - safety first! The registration fee will be refunded after the second session if children are not strong enough to achieve full draw of the bow.
  • Horse Camp Ages 6-14

    This introduction to horses covers care, grooming, riding, and much more using Spark Equestrian’s curriculum. Working in pairs, students will interact with a horse while practicing grooming, halter leading, handling the reins and basic commands - skills traditionally taught in a first riding lesson. Additional activities include crafts, games and making treats for the horses. Students should wear long pants, closed-toed shoes and layers for inside and outside activities. Please bring a bottle or water and a nut free lunch.
  • Tae Kwon Do Ages 6-15

    This ancient Korean martial art began over a thousand years ago and became the world's most popular martial art and form of self-defense. Tae Kwon Do is great physical exercise involving the use of your mind, body and spirit while nationally certified instructors teach self control, courtesy, perseverance and integrity. Parents report that their children become more focused in school, increase their self-confidence and improve their social relationships. It is an excellent activity no matter what your level of athletic ability. Classes will be taught by Jr. Grand Master Eddie Gibson and Sr. Master Theresa Gibson.

    Junior Soccer Grades K-3

    Get outside and get kickin’! We teach the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, receiving and scoring. Emphasis is on teamwork, fundamentals, safety and fast-paced action. Get your kid's pulse pounding today! Please bring a beverage and nut-free snack.
  • Track & Field Grades 3-5

    Students will have the opportunity to try out different track and field events and then choose the ones they enjoy the most to showcase their skills in a special track and field meet! The fee includes a t-shirt, coaching and the track meet. The meet will be held on Monday, May 18 from 4:00pm to approximately 7:00pm at the Forest Lake Area High School track. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the meet. No refunds will be given for weather related cancellations. Registration by 3:30pm on the second day of practice (Wednesday, April 29) is required in order to receive a t-shirt. *1665-SP26G is for St. Peter's and practices will be held at Forest View Elementary.   • Disc Golf Intro Ages 7-Adult

    Curious about disc golf? Receive instruction on throwing and basic orientation to this fast-growing sport before playing a fun and casual round at the new Ranger Community Disc Golf Course. No experience or equipment necessary! We will provide discs to use. Anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Guardians may register to participate as well. Bring water and a towel for drying your discs and wear shoes that can get wet.

    Little Kickers is a great introduction to soccer. This fun training program for boys and girls will work on individual skills based on age and small team play. For an example of a game schedule from previous years, click here. All dates will take place behind Columbus Elementary School. Students will be assigned to a field each week where they will practice for the first half and then break down to play a game versus another team for the last half of the day. Students must be registered by their current age as of June 7. (Must be 3 years of age by June 7) No exceptions. All participants will receive a game t-shirt if registered by the deadline.   • Rangers Multi-Sports Camp Ages 6-12

    This multi-sport camp is an introduction to a variety of sports as well as other fun Phys Ed and yard games throughout the week, including but not limited to flag football, basketball, baseball and soccer. Days are divided into focused sport play, free play, lunch/break time and multi-sport games. The camp is held at the Forest Lake Area Middle School and led by Forest Lake Area Schools Staff as well as college student athletes that are Forest Lake and other local high school alumni. Every week there will be different activities and games taking place so students can sign up for multiple sessions and have a new experience each week! Participants should wear sport-appropriate clothing and shoes, bring nut-free snacks for breaks, as well as sunscreen and a bottle of water every day. Students that are attending all day will also need to have a packed lunch. Each section will meet in GYM A at FLAMS.     Horsin' Around Ages 8-15

    Interested in horses and horseback riding? Join us to learn all about horses including different breeds, how to care for, groom and saddle a horse as well as riding instruction and experiences. Safety while around and on horses will be included in each activity. This comprehensive program is great for beginner riders and kids who want to learn more about horses. Participants must wear long pants and hard-soled boots. Bring a beverage and a nut-free snack.
  • Basketball Camp - Girls Entering Grades 1-9

    This camp will provide the opportunity to develop individual basketball fundamentals from the Forest Lake Area High School Girls Basketball coaches and players. Students will also participate in team play and live game situations (based on age-level and ability) and have the opportunity to improve their basketball knowledge and court sense. The camp will teach fundamentals and enhance skill development through a series of instructional situations. All participants will receive a t-shirt if registered by the deadline, so please indicate size when registering. Registration deadline is June 5. Participants must wear appropriate basketball shoes, t-shirt, shorts, bring two nut/peanut free snacks and a bottle of water every day. Registration by end of day on June 5 is required in order to receive a t-shirt.
