  • Fencing Team Ages 13-18

    En Guarde! Fencing is a sport of strategy, skill, decision making and athleticism unlike any other; not to mention it’s rich in history and tradition! Train and compete in the fastest growing youth sport in the country! Chisago Lakes and Forest Lake Community Education programs have combined to build this dynamic team of competitive fencers. Represent your school while fencing for Minnesota Sword Play, coached by Kailan Benford. Experienced and beginner fencers are welcome. The competitive season runs October - February, includes 4-5 optional tournaments and provides an opportunity to fence against athletes from all over Minnesota. Participants are responsible for purchasing regulation approved electronic equipment (for competition only, practice equipment provided) and for all tournament fees and transportation. Come to our informational meeting Monday, September 22 at Forest View Elementary Media Center at 6:30pm Practice will be held 2x per week at Forest View Cafeteria (Tuesday evenings) and Chisago Lakes WCC (Saturday afternoons).
  • Golf League - Recreational Ages 8-16

    This Recreational League is designed for golfers who have little to no prior playing experience. Our instructors offer an introduction to the fundamentals of the golf swing along with an emphasis on rules and etiquette. Learn how to swing a golf club and when to use each club in your bag on different areas around the golf course. Each session will begin with drill work and instruction followed by mini-games that lead into playing full holes on the golf course. If rain is in the forecast, watch your email for cancellation information or you can call Castlewood at (651) 982-4707 after 7am on the day of your league for information about cancellation, make-up date or if activities are to be held indoors. Those with a financial need can apply for a scholarship that is supported by the Steve Bystrom Memorial Tournament. Complete the form and then call 651-982-8392 to have your child's space in the golf league reserved. Scholarships will be awarded in early May and you will be contacted regarding the status of your application.
  • Golf League - Competitive Ages 9-16

    This Competitive League is for golfers who have experience playing golf and are familiar with the rules and etiquette of the game. Less focus will be placed on the introduction to the game and more on how to keep score and play full rounds of golf. The goal in the competitive session is for each player to play a full nine holes and turn in a scorecard. Players in this league have the opportunity to win the Little Rock’s League Championship. Fixed tee times will be assigned after the first week.     Rangers Competitive Tennis Camp Entering Grades 7-12

    This camp will cover all aspects of the game from technical to tactical. Each day will consist of a new theme (grips, footwork, offense/defense, singles/doubles strategy and sportsmanship), proper technique and grips for a variety of strokes like groundstrokes (underspin/topspin), volleys, lobs, overheads, approach shots, serves, returns, blocks and drop shots. Coaches will use a mix of closed and open drills, allowing for students to improve strokes and apply what they’ve learned through play. Games, competitive play, and skits round out this camp to ensure it’s a fun time for all!     1541-SU25C: Entering Grade 6 1541-SU25A: Entering Grade 7 1541-SU25B: Entering Grade 8 Middle School Soccer is a fun and fast-paced recreational league where players build essential skills like dribbling with both feet, trapping, passing, and receiving while also diving deeper into game strategies, team positioning, and both offensive and defensive play. Soccer will meet Monday-Thursday on school days from 2:30-4:30pm at the Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS) athletic fields.     1552-FA25A: Girls Entering Grades 6 & 7 1552-FA25B: Girls Entering Grade 8 1552-FA25C: Boys Entering Grades 6 & 7 1552-FA25D: Boys Entering Grades 8 Middle School Volleyball is a fun and fast-paced recreational league. Volleyball basics include six key skills: serving, passing, setting, hitting (or spiking), blocking and digging. The coaching staff will be diving deeper into game strategies, team positioning and both offensive and defensive play. Volleyball will meet Monday-Thursday on school days from 2:30-4:30pm at the Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS) gyms.     Middle School Girls Basketball Grades 6-8

    1544-FA25A: Entering Grades 6–7 1544-FA25B: Entering Grade 8 Get ready to elevate your game! Our Girls Middle School Basketball program is all about building strong fundamentals and boosting confidence on the court. Players will focus on key skills like dribbling with both hands, proper shooting form, sharp passing, and more. We'll also introduce advanced concepts such as offensive and defensive strategies, court positioning, and a deeper understanding of the rules. Whether you're new to the game or looking to improve, this is the place to grow and compete! Program Details: Days: Monday–Thursday (on school days) Time: 2:30–4:30 PM Tentative Dates: October 20 – December 18 Location: Forest Lake Area Middle School Gyms A–D Game Play: Practices and scrimmages will be held during regular practice times.
