  • Destination Mars: Rocketry Ages 7-11

    Launch your very own rocket that speeds 300 feet into the air - then it is yours to take home! Students will make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. We will also hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astronaut to Mars and life on Mars. Parents will be asked to contribute two empty 2-liter soda bottles for two different experiments. All other materials are included. Bring a beverage and a nut free snack.

    Good food and good friends. Sounds like the perfect evening to enjoy a meal together! Bring money for your meal, beverage and of course sweets from the bakery! (It would be helpful to check out the Key’s Menu online before so everyone knows what they would like to order.) Staff or Family Members are welcome to join us for the evening, please register.   • Drama and Theater - "Robin Hood: Intro” Ages 7-17

    Join us in Sherwood Forest as we reimagine the classic story of Robin Hood. Learn the basics of what it means to be an actor including the audition process, the lingo used, rehearsal expectations and what it takes to put on a show. Learn skills such as auditioning, memorization, blocking, vocal projection, character creation and work collaboratively in creating a youth driven performance. Participants should wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothes they can move around in and bring a snack (if needed) and a water bottle. For dress rehearsal and performance, students will need to wear an all black base costume (pants, shoes and t-shirt or tank-top) to be worn under their provided costume pieces.
  • Drawing - Introductory Ages 5-12

    Calling all doodlers! Are you ready to take your drawings to the next level? In this advanced class designed specifically for older artists, we’ll learn and master a simple step-by-step method to truly fantastic drawings. From cute koalas to radiant sunsets to a lighthouse that really glow-in-the-dark, we’ll hone our drawing skills as we create unique masterpieces any burgeoning artist would be proud of! Bring a beverage and a nut-free lunch.
  • Driver's Education Age 14-Adult

    This class listing is informational only. Please register on the A+ Driving School website at www.APlusDrivingSchool.net This 30-hour program will be conducted by a certified instructor from A+ Driving School and will fulfill the state driver’s education requirement. The course will address the “how to” and “whys” of safe driving. The format of the class will be lecture and active discussion. After completion of the program, students will be able to set up and participate in behind the wheel sessions to meet the six hour state requirement. The fee of $420 is payable to A+ Driving School.

  • Drone Racing Ages 8-12

    Learn how to fly like the pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. Once students learn the basics of flying, they’ll assemble their very own drone which they’ll get to keep. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take their drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot their drones and keep them running. The drones used in camps have cameras and are perfect for entry level pilots.

    Drop-in and enjoy the benefits of play with your children. Families will experience our specialized gym along with a short circle time, songs and fingerplays. To have the utmost experience, classes will allow a maximum of 25 individuals in the class. If the class fills, a sign will be placed outside of door 17. Maximum of three children per adult.

  • ECFE Friends Ages 2 1/2 - 5 Separating

    Is your child ready for a preschool experience but won’t be quite three by September 1? This class starts in the fall with a parent-child class. In January, a preschool day with independent learning opportunities is added. Children must be three years old by Jan 1, 2024. Sibling Care is available on Tuesdays.
  • Early Actor’s Showcase: “Dino’s In Space” Ages 4-6

    Young future actors will learn and practice the skills of performing on stage including speaking with volume, memorization, singing and moving their bodies to help tell a story. We will also be creating a keepsake item that students will use in the performance and learn a short collection of songs and poems to be memorized and performed on the last day of camp for friends and family. Our theme this year is “Dino’s in Space”. Our silly poems and songs will explore dinosaurs, the solar system and beyond.

    Early Childhood Screening - July 2024

    Early Childhood Screening is a free and simple check of how your child is growing, developing and learning. It is a review of your child's height, weight, hearing, vision, speech, language, motor and cognitive development. Screening at 3 is preferred, but a child may be screened between the ages of 3 and the start of kindergarten as required by law. Screening is not an examination to determine readiness for school, but to screen for potential problems that may interfere with a child's ability to be successful. Early screening and intervention promotes early success.

  • F.A.S.T. KIDS - Staying Safe While Home Alone Ages 7-10

    First Aid and Safety Trained Kids (F.A.S.T.) covers basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, personal safety and healthy living. Information provided will help prepare children for staying home alone. Students will receive a book and construct a home first aid kit as part of the class. Bring a beverage and a nut free snack.
  • Fencing Summer Camp Ages 7-14

    Your favorite instructors return with more knowledge, refined coaching skills and your favorite fencing games and arm bands. Safety is our first priority in this high-octane, inclusive environment. Bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothes and closed toed shoes. We supply safety swords, protective masks, chest plates and jackets. Bring a beverage and a nut free snack.

    Flag Football League will focus on skills such as passing, catching, ball handling and learning game positions. For an example of game schedules from previous years, click here. In addition to the game nights, a weekly practice will be planned and communicated by the volunteer coach after the coaches meeting. Practices can be held on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Games will be played on Tuesdays at the FL Sportscenter and start at 5:30pm or 6:30pm. Students must be registered by their current grade, no exceptions. All participants will receive a game t-shirt if registered by the deadline. Please indicate your student’s t-shirt size when registering. Volunteer coaches are needed! Open to all levels of experience, this program is dependent on volunteer coaches so please click here for more information on coaching. Friend Requests - we will do our best to honor one friend request per player. Both players must have each other listed to be honored as well as the same school and same grade selected.   • Forest Lake Area Community Band Age 15-Adult

    The Forest Lake Area Community Band is open to all levels of musicians who play woodwind, brass or percussion and enjoy practicing and performing in a band! The band's purpose is to contribute positively to the musical environment of the Forest Lake area community. We will enjoy reading and playing a repertoire of varied styles ranging from traditional compositions for band to inspiring contemporary pieces. Under the direction of Jake Matheson, the band will perform in various venues (to be announced) in the community. No audition required.   • Forest Lake Marching Band Grades 7-12

    The Forest Lake Marching Band is growing and we need you! We will rehearse, perform in area parades and at community events and have an end of season celebration. A band polo shirt is included in the registration fee, with a reduced fee available for those who have their shirt from previous years. Use section A to register for Marching Band and select if you need a shirt or if you have a shirt. Use section B to purchase additional shirts for yourself or family members for $31-$33 each. Shirts are available in men's and women's styles in sizes XS-XXXL. Registration deadline is May 13. Late registrants may not get their marching band polo shirt in time for the first parade.
