    Improve your skills with training from the high school varsity coaching staff! Training will include ball handling, shooting, rim attacks and footwork. Bring a bottle of water.   • Brewers Baseball Game

    Root, Root, Root for the Home Team as we cheer on the Forest Lake Brewers vs Andover Aces 7:30 at Schumacher Field. We’ll have a snack and enjoy some good outdoor time. It’s “Forest Lake Baseball Day”, so rumor is the concession stand will be open, so feel free to bring a little cash for a treat! Go Brewers! (The Legion game is at 4pm, The Brewers game is at 7:30.) Schumacher Field is located at 700 3rd Avenue SW in Forest Lake MN. In case of inclement weather, alternate activities will be held indoors at the Education Center. Registration deadline is is Tuesday, July 11.
  • Busy Babies Ages Birth-18 Months (Non-Separating)

    Bundle up your baby and join us to spend some uninterrupted time with your young explorer in a safe and fun environment. Meet with other parents and discuss the joys and challenges of your child’s first year. Your child will stay with you at all times, so bring your diaper bag, relax and take a break from your everyday routine. The fall session is for birth to 12 months old; winter and spring sessions are for birth to 18 months old. Drop-ins welcome.

    Camp Invention’s new program, Illuminate, provides opportunities for hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and more! Campers take on exhilarating activities each day, have fun collaborating with friends, think creatively and invent their own solutions to real-world challenges. During this action-packed, confidence-boosting program, young innovators will: Develop their own sports ball and customize a light-up game with a unique brand and logo as they explore athletics, design and innovation. Discover the science of light through illuminating inventions and fluorescent animals, then build a one-of-a-kind Glow Box using circuitry and ultraviolet light. Embark on an epic global operation to tackle water challenges around the world, learning the role that water plays with the help of a robotic lab-on-wheels. Star as a contestant on a prototyping game show, molding and shaping ideas into awesome inventions using everyday items and a DIY toolbox. Extended day options are available from 8am-5pm. Register at Invent.org before March 27 and save $25 with the code FUN25. Those with a financial need can apply for a scholarship that is supported by the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Complete the form and scholarships will be awarded June 3 and you will be contacted regarding the status of your application.

  • Cartoons, Clay and Crafts Ages 5-11

    Do you like to make cool crafts? Sculpt with clay? Draw cartoons? Then you should join us for this creative camp. We’ll sculpt a pink piggie and a tiny turtle, learn to draw cartoons, create a comic strip, make cute cactus in painted clay pots, a paper mâché bowl and have tons of fun. Bring a beverage and a nut-free snack.
  • Cheer Camp Grades 1-4

    Campers will learn several cheers with focus on body control, jumping and proper hand movements in this introduction to cheerleading. Emphasis will be placed on sportsmanship, teamwork and a positive attitude! This camp also includes fun games which focus on teamwork and competitiveness and poms that the participants will keep. Campers should bring a water bottle and snack and wear sunscreen, athletic clothing and shoes.
  • Chess Summer Camp Ages 6-12

    The {YEL!} Teach It! Practice It! Play It! classroom method keeps chess students progressing with 60+ chess lessons and thousands of puzzles, as well as guided games and an end-of-week in-class tournament. All levels are welcome.     Join us for a fun Sunday Afternoon at the Community Education Winter Ice Show (1:00pm start time). Some of our Community Education Ice Skating students will be showing us their skating skills and performing their final routines. Afterwards, we’ll get together for a bit of fun and a treat! The Forest Lake Sports Center is at 5530 206th St N Forest Lake MN. Registration deadline is is Wednesday May 15.

    Baklava is a traditional pastry dessert that is known for its sweet, rich flavor and flaky texture. Join us in this hands-on interactive class where you will cook virtually with Instructor Mimi, who is passionate about cooking. You will learn how to prepare a flavorful but easy Baklava dessert and you get to bake it in your own oven following your instructor’s guidelines.   • Cooking - Homemade Pasta with Alfredo and Tomato Sauce

    Mimi will teach you the time-honored art of making pasta from scratch. You'll also learn to make a creamy alfredo sauce and tomato sauce to smother your freshly made noodles and create a rich and satisfying homemade dish. Pair it with a fresh garden salad to balance out the meal. You will be provided an ingredient list and a link prior to class.
  • Dance - Beginning Ballet Ages 5-6

    Children will learn ballet movements and creative expression for beginners. The emphasis is on basic locomotor development, rhythm and creative expression. Our dancers learn dance in a playful, imaginative and non-competitive environment.

    Our Little Cirque Circus class is a fun, circuit-style class to learn basic circus skills. Learn to juggle, practice some basic tumbling skills and learn how to hang on the silk and make some fun shapes and poses while hanging in the air!

    Children will learn fun dance-related activities, basic dance steps, stretches and classroom etiquette in a fun, safe environment with Mom or Dad. Focus is on music, movement and imagination!
