The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
Become an American Red Cross Certified Babysitter and gain the knowledge to make some extra money. Course topics include: leadership, safety and responsibility, safe play, basic care, first aid for breathing and bleeding emergencies and the business of babysitting. This course includes fun activity ideas to keep a variety of age groups amused! Participants will take home a babysitters bag to bring with them whenever they babysit. In addition to the bag, participants will receive a handbook, American Red Cross Babysitter's Certification and safety kit. Students should bring a pencil, infant sized baby doll or stuffed animal, a nut free snack and a lunch. Participants must be at least 11 years old - age will be verified.
