The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
Want to advance your knitting skills? Learn how to knit the cable stitch. These stitches are characterized by the twisting pattern that is often seen in Celtic knitting patterns. By the end of class you will have completed a coaster using a basic cable stitch. Participants must already know the knit and purl stitches. You will learn crochet cast-on, basic bind-off, basic cable stitch.
Please bring metal or wood knitting needles in size 6,7,8 or 9 knitting needles – Straight or circular (24-32” is a nice length for circulars), cable needle or 1 DPN (double pointed needle), crochet hook size E, worsted weight yarn (Cotton or acrylic is fine), darning needle and scissors. Scrap yarn is fine as you will not need a lot.
