The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
The best Water Safety Instructors (WSI) start out as Water Safety Aides (WSA). This course is designed for students who have passed Level 6 and may be interested in working at an aquatic facility as a Water Safety Aide and eventually add the certification to become a Water Safety Instructor. Students will be asked to practice-teach with a Water Safety Instructor to see first hand how to teach a swimming class from start to finish. The Turtle, Bobber, Little Swimmers and Levels 1-3 are the classes available for the practice-teaching part of the class.
