This Recreational League is designed for golfers who have little to no prior playing experience. Our instructors offer an introduction to the fundamentals of the golf swing along with an emphasis on rules and etiquette. Learn how to swing a golf club and when to use each club in your bag on different areas around the golf course. Each session will begin with drill work and instruction followed by mini-games that lead into playing full holes on the golf course. If rain is in the forecast, watch your email for cancellation information or you can call Castlewood at (651) 982-4707 after 7am on the day of your league for information about cancellation, make-up date or if activities are to be held indoors instead.
  • Tennis Matchplay - Girls & Boys Entering Grades 7-12

Supervised Tennis match-play being offered by the coaching staff at Forest Lake High School. Each session will be 1-1/4 hours long. For the first 20 minutes or so, the students will be given instructions on specific areas of the tennis game. Thereafter students will be paired up to play matches. Coaches will walk around during the matches and give tips about playing. Throughout the summer students will be paired with different opponents. Both singles and doubles play will be played for the matches. Since tennis is a mental game as well as an athletic game, this match-play gives the students an opportunity to work on both. THIS CLASS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for any student wanting to go out for either of the High School Tennis teams! These match-play sessions occur in two options: a two day a week option (Tuesdays and Thursdays), and a one day a week option (Wednesday). Play for all sessions are from 3-4:15pm. Students must have some sort of previous tennis training before enrolling in one of these classes. If you have any questions on this, contact Coach Ron at 651-271-8075. For registration after 6/19 contact Katie Suloff at ksuloff@flaschools.org or call 651-982-8392.
