  • Music Lessons - Band Grades 7-12

    This is a great time to improve your ability to play your band instrument! Registration is open for woodwind, brass and percussion musicians with Mr. Jake Matheson. Whether you are in your first year of band or starting to prepare for all-state band, these lessons are for you! Mr. Matheson will be provided with your contact information and will contact you to schedule your lessons. If you need to cancel and reschedule a lesson, please contact the instructor by email at least 24 hours in advance. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice will not be rescheduled.

  • Northern Formation Synchro Level 2 Ages 12 & older

    Prerequisite: Must have previous synchronized swimming experience. Participants will work on advanced synchronized swimming skills. Participants will learn age-group figures and practice solo, duet and team formations as well as learn at least one routine. Participants will have an optional opportunity to compete at the local level. If the participant should choose to compete at the local level, more information will be provided at the first session and an additional annual fee of $200 is payable to the Northern Formation Synchro Club. Any new swimmers who join after the fall session will be learning skills but will be unable to compete due to competition deadlines.   • Driver's Education Ages 14-Adult

    This 30-hour program will be conducted by a certified instructor from A+ Driving School and will fulfill the state driver’s education requirement. The course will address the “how to” and “whys” of safe driving. The format of the class will be lecture and active discussion. After completion of the program, students will be able to set up and participate in behind the wheel sessions to meet the six hour state requirement. The fee is $349 and is payable to A+ Driving School.All registration is done through A+ Driving School
  • Music Lessons - Piano Grades K-12

    Piano lessons will help you develop basic piano playing skills or expand on your existing skills. One-on-one instruction will include time both on and off the keyboard. Work to master the techniques of playing piano and learning to play pieces of music. Instruction on musical notation and theory will also be included.   • Clogging - Beginner Ages 7-Adult

    Clogging is a fun activity for the whole family and provides great exercise. Learn the basic steps of clogging along with at least three routines. This American folk dance dates back to the 1700s and has influences of Irish, Scottish, English, Dutch-German and many other cultures. Modern clogging shows similarities to tap and Irish dancing. No previous dance experience necessary! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that slide easily or you can purchase a pair of glue-on clogging taps from the instructor for just $20. These taps can be put on any basic flat soled shoes. White shoes are preferred. 
  • Archery - Intro Grades 5-Adult

    Bullseye! Are you looking to try something new or want to enhance your archery skills? You will learn about all the parts of the bow, what they do and enhance your skills as a shooter. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity! Shoot straight, have fun, and remember - safety first! Participants in grades 5-8 should register for the A session. Participants in grades 9-adult should register for the B session.
  • Clogging - Beginner Plus Ages 7-Adult

    Dancers that have taken the beginner level class or have some clogging experience can continue to improve their skills as we review some of the beginner level dances and continue to learn new clogging routines and steps! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that slide easily or you can purchase a pair of glue-on clogging taps from the instructor for just $20. These taps can be put on any basic flat soled shoes. White shoes are preferred. 
  • Fencing Ages 6-Adult

    Fencing is a vigorous sport that develops stamina, quick reactions, speed, accuracy of movement and excellent coordination. Classes begin with warm-up exercises followed by games, footwork and drills in a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Students will learn fencing strategies that require problem solving skills through strategic bouting. Fencers also build confidence and develop their analytical skills by learning and practicing how to referee bouts. Fencers are fully protected with a mask, jacket and gloves. All equipment is provided including safety jackets and masks. Students should wear long athletic pants, a t-shirt, athletic shoes and bring a bottle of water.
  • ACT Practice Test Grades 10-12

    The ACT® test has become more important than ever for college admissions and scholarships. This offering will give students the opportunity to take a fully proctored ACT test to get a baseline score. A few days later, students and parents attend a meeting to receive a detailed score report and information about college admissions! *These practice test results cannot be used to send to colleges. Refunds will only be given for cancellations made prior to the first day of class.
  • Tae Kwon Do Ages 6-100

    Traditional Tae Kwon Do, an ancient Korean martial art over a thousand years old, is rapidly becoming the world's most popular martial art and form of self-defense. Tae Kwon Do is great exercise and also builds confidence, character and self-control. Parents report that their children become more focused in school and improve their social relations with others. For families, it is an excellent activity to participate in together no matter what your level of athletic ability.
  • MN Firearm Safety Ages 11 & Up

    Learn the basics of firearm safety and receive your certification from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. A parent or guardian must attend the beginning of the first session and is also required to come to the shooting range for the field test at the Forest Lake Sportsmen's Club on March 2. Times will be assigned between 9-11:30am. Students must attend all sessions and pass both a written exam and the practical field test to receive certification. Expect homework each day including reading. Students will receive a student manual and should bring a pen/pencil, manual and water if desired to each session. No other beverages are allowed. Do not bring firearms or ammunition to any session or to the field test. Upon completion, the DNR requires an additional $7.50 fee to be paid online in order to receive certification. Forest Lake Sportsmen's Club is located at 4648 - 240th St, Forest Lake.

You will be introduced to the ACT test format, receive content specific strategies for each of the four test sections and practice the strategies on retired ACT tests. You will also be given the opportunity to take a full length practice ACT test at home and score it with our online scoring system which gives you immediate feedback and scoring results similar to those of the ACT. Refunds will only be given for cancellations made prior to the first day of class.
  • Girls Track & Field Grades 7-8

    This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn time management and have some fun! How much the athlete participates in meets depends on attendance, attitude and work ethic. All interested in participating in track and field are encouraged to sign up and participate. Practices and meets (unless away at opponent location-TBD) will take place at Forest Lake Area Middle School. Parents are expected to pick up athletes after games and practices. Equipment needed: tennis shoes, practice clothes and water bottle.
