  • Middle School Boys Soccer Grades 7-8

    1541-SU25A: entering grade 7 1541-SU25B: entering grade 8 Middle School Soccer is a recreational league that focuses on skill development including dribbling with both feet, trapping, passing, receiving, while also leaning more in depth about game play positioning, offensive/defensive techniques and rules. Soccer will meet Monday-Thursday on school days from 2:30-4:30pm at the Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS) athletic fields. Students will experience practice and game play in this time frame as well as two to four games against other local middle school teams, these games will be 3:45-5:45pm at FLAMS. We will also have additional in house games (planned games with officials) once to twice a week versus our own teams starting the second week of our season. These games would be played from 3:15-4:30pm. Game uniforms will be provided.   • Forest Lake Marching Band & Flag Corps Grades 7-12

    We are past the deadline to register for Marching Band & Flag Corps. Please call Beth at 651-982-8333 or add your student to the waitlist and you will be contacted to get your child registered. Your student may not receive their uniform in time for the photos and first parade. The Forest Lake Marching Band & Flag Corps is growing and we need you! We will rehearse, perform in area parades and at community events and have an end of season celebration. A polo shirt is included in the registration fee, with a reduced fee available for those who have their shirt from previous years. Use section A to register for Marching Band & Flag Corps and select if you need a polo shirt or if you have a polo shirt. Use section B to purchase additional shirts for yourself or family members for $31-$33 each. Shirts are available in men's and women's styles in sizes XS-XXXL. Flag Corps - you can choose if you need gloves and/or a skirt during registration. These items are optional. You can choose to wear your own black shorts, pants, or skirt if you prefer.   • Music Lessons - Percussion Age 10-Adult

    Summer is a great opportunity for percussionists of all ages to improve their ability to play their instrument. Whether starting your first year of percussion or working to improve and refine your skills, these 30-minute lessons are ideal! Mr. Condon will be provided with your contact information and will contact you to schedule the lessons. If you need to cancel and reschedule a lesson, please contact Mr. Condon by email at least 24 hours in advance. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice will not be rescheduled.
  • Golf Lessons at Green Lagoon Ages 6-17

    This is a great opportunity for youth to learn the game of golf including correct form and club selection. Each session will cover a different aspect of the game including irons, woods, chipping and putting. We will also cover etiquette of the game and basic golf rules. For those without golf clubs, clubs will be available to use during class. If rain is in the forecast, you can call Green Lagoon (651) 213-3326 after 4pm on the day of your clinic for information about if a session will need to be rescheduled.

  • Water Safety Aide Age 12 & up

    The best Water Safety Instructors (WSI) start out as Water Safety Aides (WSA). This course is designed for teens who have passed Level 6 and may be interested in working at an aquatic facility as a WSA and eventually add the certification to become a WSI. Students will be asked to practice-teach with a WSI to see firsthand how to teach a swimming class from start to finish: Turtles, Bobbers, Little Swimmers and Levels 1-3 are the classes available for WSA's practice-teaching part of the class.
  • Lifeguard Training Age 15-Adult

    The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. Prerequisites: *Must be 15 years old on or before the final session of this course. Age will be verified. *Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence: 150 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. Swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Goggles are allowed. Maintain position at the surface of water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs. Swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. *Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds Starting in the water, swim 20 yards (the face may be in or out of the water - goggles are not allowed) Surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 feet to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, holding the object at the surface with both hands and keeping the face at or near the surface of the water. Exit the water without using a ladder or steps. Please bring a packed lunch each day to class.
  • Synchronized Swim Camp Ages 9-18

    Synchronized swimming is a combination of swimming, gymnastics and dance. This sport has an artistic element that relates to the three sports. Come and explore the basics of synchronized swimming in a short camp climate. Each participant must provide their own swim suit, swim cap, nose clip and goggles.

    Rangers Competitive Tennis Camp Entering Grades 7-12

    This camp will cover all aspects of the game from technical to tactical. Each day will consist of a new theme (grips, footwork, offense/defense, singles/doubles strategy and sportsmanship), proper technique and grips for a variety of strokes like groundstrokes (underspin/topspin), volleys, lobs, overheads, approach shots, serves, returns, blocks and drop shots. Coaches will use a mix of closed and open drills, allowing for students to improve strokes and apply what they’ve learned through play. Games, competitive play, and skits round out this camp to ensure it’s a fun time for all!   • Ranger Aquatics ADVANCED Ages 12-18

    Prerequisite: Participants must be able to swim 50 continuous yards of front crawl and backstroke and 25 yards of butterfly and breaststroke. This class is for athletes that have middle school or high school swim team experience. The purpose of the advanced summer swimming program is to train the athlete to swim efficiently and fast. In addition, the coaching staff will encourage physical fitness, motivation, foster self-discipline, reinforce self-esteem, build self-confidence and provide an environment where the athlete can achieve their highest potential through a challenging and fun atmosphere. The workouts will be adjusted to benefit all swimming abilities.
  • Ranger Aquatics NOVICE Ages 8-18

    Prerequisite: Participants must be able to swim 25 continuous yards of front crawl and backstroke or passed Level 4. The purpose of the novice summer swimming program is to train the athlete to swim efficiently and fast. In addition, the coaching staff will encourage physical fitness, motivation, foster self-discipline, reinforce self-esteem, build self-confidence and provide an environment where the athlete can achieve their highest potential through a challenging and fun atmosphere. The workouts will be adjusted to benefit all swimming abilities. This class is ideal if you are thinking about joining the boys and girls swim teams.
  • Gymnastics Summer Boot Camp Entering Grades 7-12

    The Forest Lake Area High School Gymnastics team is offering this summer boot camp for athletes interested in joining the high school team! Work with FLHS Gymnastics Team coaches to work on new skills, combinations and conditioning so you feel prepared for the next competition season. This class is designed for gymnasts entering Grades 7-12 (Fall of 2025) who are members of the FLHS Gymnastics team, or have competitive gymnastics experience and are interested in trying out for the team this upcoming Fall. It is a great opportunity to get to know the coaches and bond with other team members! Registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis, so please register early! Cost: $375 for 4x/week $225 for 2x/week
  • Driver's Education Age 14-Adult

    This class listing is informational only. Please register on the A+ Driving School website at www.APlusDrivingSchool.net This 30-hour program will be conducted by a certified instructor from A+ Driving School and will fulfill the state driver’s education requirement. The course will address the “how to” and “whys” of safe driving. In person, fully online and Zoom teleconference learning options are available. After completion of the program, students will be able to set up and participate in behind the wheel sessions to meet the six hour state requirement. All fees are payable to A+ Driving School.
  • Music Lessons - Summer Orchestra Grades 5-12

    This is a great opportunity for musicians to improve their ability to play their orchestral instrument. You can choose daily or twice weekly 30-minute lessons to help to refine and improve your skills whether you have one year of orchestra or you are a more experienced musician! Ms. Schreiber will be provided with your contact information. You can indicate preferred lessons times during registration and Ms. Schreiber will contact you to determine the lesson schedule.   • Boys Basketball Advanced Skills & Summer League Grades 4-12

    Improve your skills with training from the high school varsity coaching staff! Training will include ball handling, shooting, rim attacks and footwork. Bring a bottle of water.   • Golf League - Recreational Ages 8-16

    This Recreational League is designed for golfers who have little to no prior playing experience. Our instructors offer an introduction to the fundamentals of the golf swing along with an emphasis on rules and etiquette. Learn how to swing a golf club and when to use each club in your bag on different areas around the golf course. Each session will begin with drill work and instruction followed by mini-games that lead into playing full holes on the golf course. If rain is in the forecast, watch your email for cancellation information or you can call Castlewood at (651) 982-4707 after 7am on the day of your league for information about cancellation, make-up date or if activities are to be held indoors. Those with a financial need can apply for a scholarship that is supported by the Steve Bystrom Memorial Tournament. Scholarships will be awarded in early May and you will be contacted regarding the status of your application.

    This Competitive League is for golfers who have experience playing golf and are familiar with the rules and etiquette of the game. Less focus will be placed on the introduction to the game and more on how to keep score and play full rounds of golf. The goal in the competitive session is for each player to play a full nine holes and turn in a scorecard. Players in this league have the opportunity to win the Little Rock’s League Championship. Fixed tee times will be assigned after the first week.   • Synchronized Swim Clinic Ages 9-18

    This Synchronized Swim Clinic is for swimmers interested in learning the basic skills of synchronized swimming and for the advanced synchronized swimmer. The novice synchronized swimmer must be able to swim 25 yards of the following strokes: front and back crawl and sidestroke. The advanced synchronized swimmer will focus on both technical and artistic components that make up a routine. Both the novice and advanced swimmer will work on strength and control in figures and hybrids. Each swimmer must provide their own swim suit, swim cap, nose clip and goggles.
  • Self-Defense Ages 4-17

    Every day 160,000 children miss school out of fear of being intimidated by a bully or by a threatening individual in their neighborhood. This self-defense class will empower youth ages 4 - 17 with non-threatening self-defense techniques and skills to protect them from those who would do harm and from other threatening situations. Students in this class are eligible, if they desire, to earn a certified Yellow Belt rank at the conclusion of the ten week session. Master Jeff Wood, 5th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, is the head instructor of this class. SU25A is for ages 4-8 SU25B is for ages 9-17
  • Sewing - Getting Started Ages 8-16

    Has your child been curious about sewing or wanted to make fun creations? Even if they’ve never used a sewing machine before, this is a great opportunity to learn the craft. They’ll learn how to thread a sewing machine and sew a straight line as well as techniques for machine handling that are frustrating to figure out on their own. They are welcome to and may find it helpful to bring their own sewing machine if it is in good working order. This class will be required before attending other sewing classes.
