Forest Lake Area Schools Community Education

A pre-requisite for this course is the current Basketball League that is taking place right now. If you are not registered for the current basketball league, your registration will be removed and you will be refunded. 

3rd Grade Basketball will focus on skill development including dribbling with dominant hand, proper shooting techniques and passing while also learning about gameplay positioning, being introduced to offensive/defensive techniques and rules during this recreation league!

Students will participate in one practice night a week for seven weeks while also playing six games throughout the season. Once the game schedule begins, you will have one practice night and one game night each week. The first two weeks of the season will consist of practice only. Coaches may choose to practice two nights during the first two weeks.

Students must be registered by their current grade, no exceptions.

Volunteer coaches are needed! Open to all levels of experience, this program is dependent on volunteer coaches so please click here for more information on coaching.

Practices will be held at elementary schools within the Forest Lake area. When registering, please select which school your student would like to play for. We will do our best to schedule practices at or near the elementary school that your student is registered for. Volunteer coaches will notify you of your practice and game schedule prior to the start of the season. Games will be held at the Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS). 

Friend Requests - we will do our best to honor one friend request per player. Both players must have each other listed to be honored.

Important dates and times:

• Fee Increase: Registration fees will increase after the deadline of January 28 from $89 to $109.
• Practices are currently set to begin the week of March 10.
• Games are set to begin the week of March 17 - Times are TBD - please see last year's schedule for an example by clicking here.
