  • Volleyball League Entering Grades 3-6

    Registration fee after Aug 11th is $119. Please register for the waiting list. We monitor our numbers regularly and will accept as many participants as possible. Volleyball League will focus on basic skills of passing, setting, serving and other offensive/defensive techniques. During registration, please select the elementary school the participant attends. Games will be played at Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS) on Tuesdays and start at 6:15 or 7:15pm. In addition to the game nights, a weekly practice will be planned and communicated by the volunteer coach after the coaches meeting. Practices can be held on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. What to bring: tennis shoes, volleyball spandex/black shorts, knee pads and a bottle of water every day.   • Flag Football League Entering Grades K-3

    Registration fee after Aug 3rd is $119. Please register for the waiting list. We monitor our numbers regularly and will accept as many participants as possible. Flag Football League will focus on skills such as passing, catching, ball handling and learning game positions. Please register the participant by the grade they are entering in the fall and by the elementary school they attend. Kindergarten and first grade will play games on Tuesdays starting September 14. Second and third grade will play games on Thursdays starting September 16. Games will start at 5:30pm or 6:30pm. In addition to the game nights, a weekly practice will be planned and communicated by the volunteer coach after the coaches meeting. Practices can be any evening besides your game night, Monday - Thursday.   • Clogging - Beginner Age 8-Adult

    Please click here to register for Clogging-Beginner. Clogging is a fun activity for the whole family and provides great exercise! Learn the basic steps of clogging along with at least three routines. Modern clogging shows similarities to Tap, Irish Dancing and Hip Hop. No previous dance experience needed. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that slide easily or you can purchase a pair of glue-on clogging taps from the instructor for $20. These taps can be put on any basic flat soled shoes. White shoes are preferred. At the end of the session, dancers are invited to perform their routines at a local event.

Following the National Archery in the Schools Program curriculum, you will learn about all the parts of the bow and arrow, techniques of shooting and enhance your skills as a shooter.     In FIRST® LEGO® League, students will be immersed in a real-world science and technology challenge. Teams will strategize, design, program and test an autonomous robot to perform a series of missions based on an annual theme. Research a real-world problem, come up with a solution and then participate in a regional tournament. Adult volunteer assistant coaches needed. No experience necessary.
  • Cheerleading & Dance Ages 4-14

    Cheer America is an exciting cheerleading and dance program. Children learn popular cheers and chants, choreographed dance and pom-pom routines, parade marching techniques, simple stunting and tumbling and many other skills related to cheerleading performance. Physical fitness, teamwork, respect for others and self esteem are promoted. A group recital is performed on the last night of class and all students receive medals and diplomas for their participation in the program. Section F21A - ages 4-7 Section F21B - ages 8-14
  • Fall Tennis Clinic - Beginner

    Beginner students will learn the basics of good form for the following 4 strokes: forehand, backhand, volley, and serve. This foundation will allow them to start to rally with each other by the end of the 8 weeks. Games that reinforce the form will also be mixed in throughout the 8 weeks. **This clinic will be led by Forest Lake Area Schools High School Tennis Coaches**
  • Fall Tennis Clinic - Intermediate/Advanced

    Intermediate/Advanced students should have already taken a beginner class (or equivalent). They should already be familiar with the proper form for all of the strokes. The class will perform a review of the form for all the strokes but quickly move to rally play. It is the goal of this class to prepare students to actually play a game of tennis on a full court. (Students not performing at an intermediate/advanced level may be asked to move down to the beginner level.) **This clinic will be led by Forest Lake Area Schools High School Tennis Coaches**
  • Beginning Ballet Ages 5-6

    Children will learn ballet movements and creative expression for beginners. Emphasis is on basic locomotor development, rhythm and creative expression. Our dancers learn dance in a playful, imaginative and non-competitive environment. The Dance Factory is located at 1432 Lake Street South, Forest Lake.
  • Bowling Club Ages 6-12

    Spare, split, strike! Learn the skills and techniques of bowling including fundamentals such as grip, release, footwork, how to keep score, proper etiquette and more. The program will culminate with a competition and pizza party with the other school districts involved. All participants will receive a t-shirt and certificate. No experience necessary. Instructors are bowling alley staff or youth bowling coaches. The final competition will be held on November 6 at Flaherty’s Arden Bowl in Arden Hills.

  • Mess to the Max! with Kidcreate Studio Ages 5-12

    We will be maximizing the mess to make this art class the very best! Kids will get excited to paint with plaster, sculpt with gooey gunk, make paper mache puppies and fling paint like Jackson Pollock. We will even learn some cool stuff along the way. These projects are so messy, parents would never let kids make them at home!

    The Engineering For Kids Junior STEM Club introduces students to a new, hands-on lesson every week from various engineering disciplines. For each lesson, students focus on developing 21st century skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and peer collaboration. These life skills provide students with the confidence to approach challenges in their lives and realize that they can succeed in almost anything! Engineering for Kids has a library of 300+ individual lessons which continues to grow so lessons are never repeated.
  • Intro to Wrestling - Ages 4-Grade 6

    Would you like to learn about wrestling? Here’s your chance! This introductory wrestling league is centered around the inexperienced wrestler. Students will spend part of the time in group drills then split into age/weight appropriate groups for matches. Learn technique, meet new friends and have fun! Both students should be at the same skill level. When registering for semi-private lessons you must register both students at the same time. Please select the Semi-Private Lesson fee for each student.

Please note: When the Skating Director feels a skater has mastered all of the skills in their level, they will be moved up to the next level/class. Skaters must be dressed for the cold. We recommend mittens, hats and comfortable, easy to move in clothing. All skaters ages 6 and under must have a helmet on (bike or hockey helmets are fine). We recommend having the younger skaters wear snow pants as it keeps them warm and dry. Skaters must provide their own skates. Tots 2 Skills: Two-foot glide, v-position holds (toes/heels), push & glide stroking, two-foot hop
