  • Open Skating for Adults

    The Forest Lake Sports Center is open for skating! Adults and active seniors are welcome to come and enjoy an activity that will take you back to your childhood. Because online registration is not available for this activity, the online listing shows the activity is full - but there is space available. Skate rental is available on-site from Forest Lake Cycle & Skate for $5. No pre-registration is necessary. Drop in fee is $5 payable at the door.

  • Walkers Welcome

    The Central Learning Center, Forest Lake Area High School and Wyoming Elementary are open for walkers! Avoid the snow, ice, rain and traffic. Come walk in a safe and controlled climate. Walk one, two or more times each week. Walkers will be sent an identification badge and complete schedule upon registration. Badge must be worn while walking. Sorry, we are unable to offer accommodations for personal belongings. Registration fee allows you to walk at any of the three schools until May 2018. Please arrive before 8pm in the evening. While walking is available until 8:30pm, the building will be locked at 8pm.

    Energize your body while gaining flexibility and strength through the practice of yoga. Using yoga postures, you will stretch and tone muscles while strengthening joints and improving your balance. This class is designed for people of all abilities. Kyoshin Ryu is located at 280 12th St SW, Forest Lake.
  • Yoga - Core Strength Workout

    Build strength with this intense yoga practice. We'll combine a series of flowing postures with rhythmic breathing to develop core strength and balance. Emphasis is on breathing through each posture to attain mind-body connectedness. Yoga detoxifies the body and mind with emphasis on movement, balance and intention. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and water. Beginning to intermediate participants are welcome. Drop-in fee is $9. Yoga Forest is located at 616 North Lake Street, Forest Lake.

Zumba is perfect for everybody and every body! It combines all elements of fitness; cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility while giving you boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class! Wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Please bring a small towel and a bottle of water. Drop-in fee is $7.
  • Rebound Fitness - Beginner

    Bounce your way to a fun and effective workout using rebound boots! These boots take 80% of the impact off your joints and allow for a great cardio workout that doesn't take a toll on your body. Working out in rebound boots delivers maximum results in cardio endurance and increases muscle and bone density. You can bring your own boots or rent them for use in class from the instructor for $60, payable to the instructor on the first night of class. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water and a yoga mat. Boot owners are welcome to drop-in for a $10 fee.     Whole Body Vinyasa is designed to increase both your strength and flexibility and is suitable for all ages and body types. The breath is incorporated into each exercise and helps to relieve stress and anxiety. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Each pose will be described in detail for beginners as well as modifications offered for more advanced students. Improve the health of your body, mind and soul through yoga! Please bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water to class. Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in.

    Learn how you can support your family's health by easily incorporating natural therapeutic essential oils into your life and save money doing so. Discover how simple it is to skip the toxic chemicals and make your own all-natural remedies, cleaning products and body care products using simple everyday ingredients. Together we will discuss many ways to use essential oils and mix up four products for you to take home and enjoy. If you have already taken an intro class or have made essential oils before, you can show up at 7:15pm to participate in the “Make & Take” portion of either session A or B. Session A: relaxing bath salts, relieving rollerball, calming lavender linen spray and a soothing respiratory rub. A supply fee of $5 is payable to the instructor at class.Session B: relieving bath salts, relaxing lavender body cream, all-purpose cleaner and a tummy support rollerball.     Mindfulness Practice is the ancient method of self-understanding and self-management. It is used widely for handling pain and stress, habit control, and dealing with painful emotions and disturbing thoughts. It leads to deep self-knowledge and self-management skills that make life richer. The content of the practice is simply our own experiences of body and mind with no ideology. It is compatible with any self-development practices you do. Please wear loose clothing for comfort. The teaching is cumulative, so attendance at all meetings is most encouraged.

  • Stand Up Paddle Board Fitness/Yoga

    Take your workout to the water on a stand up paddle board. Build strength and improve your balance and focus. Starting with a short paddle, we’ll find the perfect spot to anchor. Your total body workout will include body weight and strength exercises, conditioning drills and cardio bursts. End each session with a short flowing sequence of yoga and relaxing on the water. All participants must be 18+ years of age, sign a liability waiver and are required to wear a life jacket, whistle and leash. Please wear a swimsuit or workout wear you are comfortable getting wet and swimming in (no cotton, please). Bring sunscreen and a bottle of water. All equipment is provided. Small group size with certified instructors allows for individual attention.

    Learn the basics of stand up paddle boarding. Start with an introduction on dryland learning equipment, safety, launching, form, balance and turning. Next, move to the water starting on your knees and gaining confidence and skills to progress to standing on the board. SUP improves balance, core strength, endurance and is fun for all fitness levels. All participants must be 18+ years of age, sign a liability waiver and are required to wear a life jacket, whistle and leash. Please wear a swimsuit or workout wear you are comfortable getting wet and swimming in (no cotton, please). Bring sunscreen and a bottle of water. All equipment is provided.
