  • Middle School Boys Basketball Grades 7-8

    For team availability after December 22, please call (651) 982-8392 This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn time management and have some fun. Students interested in playing basketball are encouraged to sign up and play! How much the athlete participates in games depends on attendance, attitude, work ethic and number of players on each team. Practices will be held at Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS) after school. Games will be held at FLAMS and other local high schools and middle schools. Transportation for away games will be provided by district busing. Parents must provide transportation home from FLAMS after practices and games. Game days are TBD and an email will be sent to families closer to the start date with the schedule. Players must wear basketball shoes, practice clothes and bring a bottle of water everyday. Uniforms for games will be provided.     Bullseye! Are you looking to try something new or want to enhance your archery skills? Following the National Archery in the Schools Program curriculum, you will learn about all the parts of the bow and arrow, techniques of shooting and enhance your skills as a shooter. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity. Shoot straight, have fun and remember - safety first!
  • Middle School Girls Track & Field Grades 7-8

    Come have some fun in Middle School Track & Field! Each athlete will get to explore all of the events in track and field while working with the Middle School and High School Track & Field coaches. Track & Field is open to all types of athletes and no prior experience is necessary. Practices are held after school four days a week at Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS). Meets will take place at FLAMS track or other local high schools and middle schools. Transportation to the away meets is provided and will return back to FLAMS around 5:45pm. An email will be sent to families closer to the start of the season with the meet schedule and picture information. Parents must provide transportation home from FLAMS after practices and meets. Rain day practices will be held at FLAMS Gym D. Athletes must wear appropriate running or cross training shoes, layers for all types of weather and bring water every day. Uniforms for meets will be provided. Running spikes are optional. *Registration must be completed before showing up to practice. For team availability after March 17, call (651) 982-8392.   • Fencing Ages 6-Adult

    Fencing is a vigorous sport that develops stamina, quick reactions, speed, accuracy of movement and excellent coordination. Classes begin with warm-up exercises followed by games, footwork and drills in a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Through strategic bouting, students will learn fencing strategies that require problem solving skills. Fencers also build confidence and develop their analytical skills by learning and practicing how to referee bouts. Fencers are fully protected with a mask, jacket and gloves. All equipment is provided including safety jackets and masks. Students should wear long athletic pants, a t-shirt, athletic shoes and bring a bottle of water.
