American Red Cross Certified Babysitters Training Ages 11-16Special InterestBecoming a Certified Babysitter provides the knowledge necessary for young people to make some extra money. Course topics include: leadership, safety and responsibility, safe play, basic care, first aid for breathing and bleeding emergencies and the business of babysitting. This course includes fun activity ideas to keep a variety of age groups amused! Participants will take home a babysitters bag to bring with them whenever they babysit. In addition to the bag, participants will receive a handbook, certificate and safety kit. Students should bring a pencil, infant sized baby doll or stuffed animal, a snack and a lunch. Basketball - Private LessonsAthletics & RecreationPrivate basketball lessons are the most effective way to enhance your basketball skills through coach directed skills, drills, and fun games. In these sessions you are given one on one attention to help you understand exactly what your individual strengths and weaknesses are and how to effectively and quickly improve your game. Reasons to receive private basketball lessons include: becoming a better basketball player, making a hoops club team, making the school team, or getting a scholarship to play in college. Whatever your goal is as a basketball player, private lessons will help you make that goal a reality. Lessons will be with our Forest Lake Area Middle School Basketball Coach Shaun Dorothy. Shaun also coaches elementary basketball for both Community Education and our local traveling association, FL Hoops Club. Basketball League - Adult 3x3Sports & RecreationGrab your basketball and group of friends and register now for this fun and competitive co-ed 3x3 basketball league! Teams of all skill levels are encouraged to register and will compete for the Community Education Adult 3x3 Basketball Championship. Win/loss records will be kept for standings and playoff seeding. The league will conclude with playoffs held the final two weeks of the session. Playoff format will be determined by the number of teams registered. Teams will have a minimum of 3 players with a maximum of 6 on the roster and must have a minimum of 2 players in order to start the game.
