The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
Create a stained glass mosaic dragonfly, butterfly or lizard and add a piece of custom artwork to your home or garden! This is a thoughtful, handmade gift or a beautiful addition to your home. The instructor will prepare materials in advance but please bring an old towel and rubber gloves to class. A $25 supply fee is payable to the instructor at class. When registering, please indicate whether you would like to make a dragonfly (16x11"), butterfly (16x9") or lizard (9x24"). Due to materials being prepared in advance, there are no refunds after noon on the day of class.
Peggy Decker has taught Community Education classes for many years, starting with teaching people to make macrame chairs. Her present classes include Crochet (Beginning, Cord Rug, Baby sweaters, Granny Square, Hats and Mittens), cake decorating, mosaic stepping stone, mosaic bird bath, picture frames, and fleece quillo. Along with classes in Forest Lake, Peggy teaches in Anoka, North Branch and St. Francis.
