The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
If you've never used a sewing machine before or if it’s been years, this is a great class to take first! You’ll learn how to thread a sewing machine and sew a straight line as well as techniques for machine handling that are frustrating to figure out on your own. Get comfortable with the sewing machine and practice your skills. You are welcome to and may find it helpful to bring your own sewing machine if it is in working order.
Renee has been sewing since she was a young girl and her interest continued to grow throughout her teen years. Upon graduating high school, she went on to formalize her skills at Century College in White Bear Lake, MN. She then worked for several designers and bridal shops before opening her custom bridal and alteration business in 1997. Renee began teaching sewing classes in the fall of 2018 and opened her own sewing classroom/studio in Forest Lake in February of 2019
