The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
During this one-of-a-kind event, we will guide you step-by-step through hand knitting your very own soft chunky knit blanket. No knitting experience is required and all supplies will be provided. You will receive 140 yards (five skeins) of size 7 chunky yarn (100% polyester) available in a variety of colors. Your completed blanket will measure approximately 40x50”. One adult chaperone is needed per child under age 13. The adult and child can make the project together or just the child can make the project with the adult supervising. Adults need to register as well if they want to create their own blanket. All supplies are included. Due to materials being prepared in advance, there are no refunds after noon on the day of class.
