The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
During this two-mile nature walk you will experience habitats found within the three biomes of our state – the deciduous forest, the coniferous forest and the prairie. You'll be guided through a tamarack bog, oak woodland and restored prairie while learning about the plant communities, creatures and ecological processes present. You’ll learn how to set up a trail camera and how to age trees. There will be multiple opportunities to stop and rest to listen and look for birds and other animals. Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring water, snacks and binoculars, if you have them.
Please park at the lot on the north end of the forest: 6256 227th Ave NE, Stacy.
