The Early Childhood Programs are an integral part of Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). We work together to assure that children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
The program offers before and after school childcare, non-school days (NSD) and summer childcare. Fees are listed in the current fee schedule online. The program opens at 6am and closes at 6pm.
Learn and practice the strategies and skills to protect yourself from attack situations that are common and unique to women. You will learn the preemptive tactics, escape maneuvers, verbal interventions, physical techniques, effective use of self-defense devices and other counter-attack skill sets to quickly end a potentially dangerous encounter. Adopt the mindset of a confident victor through a strong emphasis of empowering the mind to prevail in an assault.
Master Jeff Wood, 5th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do has been teaching martial arts and Tai Chi for the past 30 years. He is the President/C.E.O. of the Young Americans Schools of Self-Defense, Inc. Mr. Wood also holds a Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology from Central Michigan University.
