  • Music Lessons - Band Age 10-Adult

    This is a great opportunity for musicians of all ages to improve their ability to play their band instrument. Registration is open for woodwind, brass and percussion musicians. Whether starting your first year of band or working to improve and refine your skills, these 30-minute lessons are ideal! Mr. Matheson will be provided with your contact information and will contact you to schedule the lessons. If you need to cancel and reschedule a lesson, please contact Mr. Matheson by email at least 24 hours in advance. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice will not be rescheduled.

    1541-SU24A: entering grade 7 1541-SU24B: entering grade 8 Middle school soccer is an introduction to what students will experience at the high school soccer level. Advanced skills such as dribbling, trapping, passing and receiving will be the focus. Games will be played against other local middle school teams. Practices and games will be played at Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS) unless away at an opponent's location. Transportation to the away games is provided and will return to FLAMS. Families must provide transportation home from FLAMS after practices and games. Rain day practices will be held in FLAMS Gym D. All Middle Schools Sports dates are finalized once the league schedule has been received. The projected start date can be adjusted up to one week before or after due to this. You will receive more information from our office a month prior to the tentative start date. Game uniforms will be provided. Important dates and times: Mon-Thu 2:30-4:30pm. Summer lessons will begin the week of June 17. Ms. Schreiber will be provided with your contact information and she will contact you to determine the lesson schedule.   • Forest Lake Marching Band Grades 7-12

    The Forest Lake Marching Band is growing and we need you! We will rehearse, perform in area parades and at community events and have an end of season celebration. A band polo shirt is included in the registration fee, with a reduced fee available for those who have their shirt from previous years. Use section A to register for Marching Band and select if you need a shirt or if you have a shirt. Use section B to purchase additional shirts for yourself or family members for $31-$33 each. Shirts are available in men's and women's styles in sizes XS-XXXL. Registration deadline is May 13. Late registrants may not get their marching band polo shirt in time for the first parade.     Is your child ready to suit up for the next FLAS mission to take Rangers to Space Camp? Parents and children (Grades 4-8 in fall 2024) are invited to learn what it will take for kids to spend a week at Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama in the spring of 2025! This informational meeting will cover the application process, fees, fundraising and expectations for children and parents as we prepare for Space Camp. During the 2024-2025 school year, students who are selected to join the mission will meet monthly for Science Saturdays to work as a team and confront mission scenarios that require dynamic problem solving and critical thinking — 21st century learning skills required in the workplace. One parent or adult from each family will be required to attend Science Saturday and work on planning and implementing fundraising activities to send the entire group to Space Camp. Our mottos is: We all go or no one goes! Throughout the week at Space Camp, students are immersed in astronaut training techniques using equipment adapted from NASA’s astronaut program.     Do you love to spread joy and energy? The Flag Corps performs with the Marching Band to add excitement to the performance through upbeat flag routines. Synchronized movements and vocal shouts help to get crowds engaged and provide eye-catching choreography to the Marching Band performances. No experience necessary. We will develop choreography together and teach you what you need to know to be part of the Flag Corps team.   • Driver's Education Age 14-Adult

    This class listing is informational only. Please register on the A+ Driving School website at www.APlusDrivingSchool.net This 30-hour program will be conducted by a certified instructor from A+ Driving School and will fulfill the state driver’s education requirement. The course will address the “how to” and “whys” of safe driving. The format of the class will be lecture and active discussion. After completion of the program, students will be able to set up and participate in behind the wheel sessions to meet the six hour state requirement. The fee of $420 is payable to A+ Driving School.

  • Forest Lake Marching Band Flag Corps - Intro Clinic Grades 7-12

    Are you looking for an opportunity to perform and bring joy and excitement to people this summer? The Flag Corps is growing - come check us out and decide if you want to join us! Learn basic flag choreography, a simple routine and how the Flag Corps adds excitement to the Forest Lake Marching Band performances. The Flag Corps will perform with the Marching Band in parades and at community events. Synchronized movements and vocal shouts help to get crowds engaged. Wear comfortable clothing, athletic shoes and bring a bottle of water.
  • Sewing - Cosplay/Costume: Peasant/Pirate Top Age 12-Adult

    The wonderful thing about this shirt is it’s an easy and versatile foundational garment for many costume options for the summer/fall Renaissance Festival season as a maiden, poet or pirate and other costumes. (Prerequisite: Sewing - Getting Started or a previous sewing class with Sewing and Fitting Mentor.)   • Ranger Aquatics - Age 8 & up

    Prerequisite: Participants must be able to swim 25 continuous yards of front crawl and backstroke or passed Level 4. The purpose of this swimming program is to train the athlete (both novice & advanced) to swim efficiently and fast. In addition, the coaching staff will encourage physical fitness, motivation, foster self-discipline, reinforce self-esteem, build self-confidence and provide an environment where the athlete can achieve their highest potential through a challenging and fun atmosphere. The workouts will be adjusted to benefit all swimming abilities.
  • Golf Lessons at Forest Hills - Adult/Child Age 6 & up

    Improve your golf swing while spending time together! This series of lessons for an adult/child pair will focus on the full swing as well as chipping and putting. Instruction and useful methods of practice are included in each lesson. On the last day, golfers will have a chance to play a game of golf on their own on the course. Range balls are provided and golf clubs are available, if needed. Please register with the name of the child who will be attending the lessons. If rain is in the forecast, you can call Forest Hills (651) 464-3097 (choose the option for the pro shop) after 5pm on the day of your clinic for information about if a session will need to be rescheduled.

    Improve your golf swing while spending time together! This series of lessons for an adult/child pair will focus on the full swing as well as chipping and putting.     This is a great opportunity for youth to learn the game of golf including correct form and club selection. Each session will cover a different aspect of the game including irons, woods, chipping and putting. We will also cover etiquette of the game and basic golf rules. For those without golf clubs, clubs will be available to use during class.   • Sewing - Getting Started Ages 8-16

    Has your child been curious about sewing or wanted to make fun creations? Even if they’ve never used a sewing machine before, this is a great opportunity to learn the craft. They’ll learn how to thread a sewing machine and sew a straight line as well as techniques for machine handling that are frustrating to figure out on their own. They are welcome to and may find it helpful to bring their own sewing machine if it is in good working order. This class will be required before attending other sewing classes.
