    MAKE AN INVESTMENT - Adults who have their degree make more money and are prepared for college! The GED® test is a four-subject high school equivalency test that measures skills required by high schools and requested by colleges and employers. The four subjects are Science, Social Studies, Mathematical Reasoning, and Reasoning Through Language Arts. After you pass the GED® test, your diploma or credential will be issued by your state but you’ll receive a GED® transcript to apply to college, start training, or get a better job.   • Golf League - Adult Co-ed Floating 2-Player Best Ball

    Men’s, women’s and co-ed teams are welcome to join a golf league that works around your schedule! Grab a partner and participate in Castlewood’s two-person best ball league this summer; April 29 - September 26. Earn prizes, compete in weekly events, meet great people and enjoy quality course conditions at an affordable rate. You and your partner will participate in an organized golf league managed by the staff at Castlewood that allows you to play on your schedule, rather than at a fixed day and time each week. Schedule your tee time, post a score and play against the field! Format: Golfers play their own shot for the duration of each hole. The best score on each hole is posted on the scorecard. Earn points each week depending on your team’s score against the rest of the field. Points are earned by playing each week, winning weekly games and placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in low score against the field. Prizes are awarded each week and at the end of the season for cumulative point winners. Fees: One-time payment of $135 per team to cover weekly and end of the season awards. Weekly green fees are $14 to walk and $25 to ride (plus tax and per person). Purchase a punch pass for $295 and get 25 rounds for the price of 20. Carts are available for an additional fee.

Walkers will be provided with an identification badge and complete schedule upon registration. Your badge must be worn while walking. We are unable to offer accommodations for personal belongings. Registration fee allows you to walk in the morning and evening at any of these three schools: High School, Education Center, Wyoming Elementary until April 2023. Please arrive before 8pm in the evening. While walking is available until 8:30pm, the building may be locked at 8pm.   • Forest Lake Area Community Band Age 15-Adult

    The Forest Lake Area Community Band is open to all levels of musicians who play woodwind, brass or percussion and enjoy practicing and performing in a band! The band's purpose is to contribute positively to the musical environment of the Forest Lake area community. We will enjoy reading and playing a repertoire of varied styles ranging from traditional compositions for band to inspiring contemporary pieces. Under the direction of Jake Matheson, the band will perform in various venues (to be announced) in the community. No audition required.   • Yoga - Slow Flow

    Increase your flexibility and strengthen your core through yoga movements and breathing to encourage the integration of body, mind and spirit. This class is designed for students with some prior experience in yoga. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water. You will be provided with a link prior to class.
  • Yoga - Hatha Flow

    Build strength while you lengthen and stretch your body by aligning ligaments through this gentle yoga practice. Yoga postures are connected with fluid movements that synchronize with your breathing to help reduce stress and improve balance. This class is most appropriate for people with experience in yoga, however, those new to yoga are welcome. The instructor will incorporate the fundamentals of yoga and how to move between yoga poses while you build confidence to move on to more challenging poses. Space permitting, in person drop ins are allowed for a fee of $12 (correct change required). Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water.     Studies show that yoga practice positively correlates with both physical and mental wellness as well as managing pain and inflammation, improving sleep quality and much more. We will combine gentle physical poses with mindfulness and breathing in this beginning yoga practice. Our focus will be on functional mobility, balance and working to release stress and stiffness.   • Alcohol Ink - Flower Painting Beginner

    Have you ever wanted to paint beautiful flowers but thought it would be too hard? Alcohol Ink (AI) painting is more abstract which gives you the freedom to paint without rules. You will learn the basics of AI while learning to create flower petals by blowing ink with an airbrush. You’ll get to practice on a 6” x 6” white tile; the ink wipes clear using isopropyl alcohol. Once you feel comfortable creating petals, you will create a flower on the tile using the colors of your choice. You will also learn to create flower centers and then paint flowers on both white and black plastic paper. A supply fee of $15 is due at class.
  • Pickleball Lessons - Intermediate/Advanced

    It’s time to improve your pickleball game. Learn proper techniques for three different serves, cross court attack dinks and the all-important third shot (drop). Learn how to play against "bangers" and the secrets of winning doubles strategies. Open to all players who know how to keep score, hit a forehand and backhand shot and understand the basis of the dink shot. Participants will drill and play to achieve maximum improvement. PPR Coach and multi-Gold Medalist, Michael Lammer, will instruct this fun filled class. Wear comfortable clothes, athletic shoes and bring a bottle of water. Michael will have demo paddles available for use.
  • Pickleball Lessons - Beginner

    Join the fastest growing sport in America by learning to play pickleball. This beginner class is designed as a drill and play format. You will learn how to keep score, serve and return the serve along with hitting forehand, backhand, dinking, lobbing and court strategies. This course is taught with passion and humor by PPR Coach and multi-Gold Medalist, Michael Lammer. Wear comfortable clothes, athletic shoes and bring a bottle of water. You do not need to purchase a paddle before class, as Michael will bring a variety of demo paddles for you to try.

    Planning for Medicare is intimidating. If you or a family member is nearing the age of 65, attend this course to learn the basics of what Medicare is, how it works, how to avoid penalties and what you need to know to prepare yourself for this process.   • Mindfulness Meditation

    This ancient method of self-understanding and self-management. It is widely used for handling pain and stress, habit control, dealing with painful emotions and disturbing thoughts. It leads to deep self-knowledge and self-management skills that make life richer. The content of the practice is simply our own experiences of body and mind with no ideology. It is compatible with any religious and self-development practices. Please wear comfortable clothing. The teaching is cumulative, so attendance at all meetings is encouraged.     Recreational basketball is a great workout and a good time for both new and returning players. Players organize full court or cross court pick-up games and often play shirts and skins. A yellow or gold t-shirt can be worn as an alternative to skins. Pre-registration is required. Register on a week to week basis ($7 each). Registration closes at 4pm each Wednesday. We request that players bring their own ball.

    Players of all experience levels are invited to join the club! Players rotate in and out of games to ensure everyone has the opportunity to play.   • Creating on Canvas

    Exercise your artistic talents by turning a blank canvas into a beautiful picture to hang in your home. You choose your subject-please bring a photo of what you’d like to paint as your inspiration. Your favorite cartoon/movie character? Your favorite animal? We'll spend the evening painting together! It will be fun to see everyone's creativity! Registration deadline is Tuesday, April 23.
  • Yoga - Whole Body Vinyasa

    Whole Body Vinyasa is designed to increase both your strength and flexibility and is suitable for all ages and body types. The breath is incorporated into each exercise and helps to relieve stress and anxiety. No previous yoga experience is necessary.   • Painting - Acrylic

    Join us for a fun-filled evening as you create and paint your very own canvas. You’ll enjoy a no-experience-required art class guided by Jeremy Ross of Your Bearded Artist. He will lead you step-by-step through an acrylic painting on a 16x20 canvas. Each session will feature a different painting. All supplies are included.
