  • Archery Lessons - Beginner Ages 7-Adult

    You won’t get to shoot an apple off of anyone’s head, but certified instructors will introduce you to aspects of archery including range safety and shooting etiquette. This package will include three - 30 min lessons with a certified instructor scheduled at your convenience. Don’t have your own bow? No problem, BowDaddy has plenty of left and right handed compound bows to use while learning proper shooting form and working one-on-one with our instructors to perfect your skills. Sign up for group lessons of two-four people with this great opportunity to have fun and create a solid foundation for all of your future archery adventures.   • Boys Soccer Grades 7-8

    Community Education is excited to offer Junior High Athletics. Our philosophy at the junior high level is for everyone to have an opportunity to participate and have fun in our athletic program no matter what their ability. This is consistent with other junior high opportunities offered in the district. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn time management and have some fun. How much the athlete participates in games depends on attendance, attitude, work ethic and number of players on each team. All interested in playing soccer are encouraged to sign up and play. Practices and games (unless away at opponent location-TBD) will be played at Century or Southwest Junior High. Practice location will depend on number of teams created. If needed, students should ride the shuttle bus to the appropriate junior high. Athletes should get a shuttle bus pass from the office. An email will be sent to families closer to the start date with location details. There is no activity bus, parents must provide transportation. Equipment needed: soccer cleats preferred (no metal), practice clothes, shin guards and a water bottle. Uniforms provided.

  • Tae Kwon Do Ages 6-100

    Traditional Tae Kwon Do, an ancient Korean martial art over a thousand years old, is rapidly becoming the world's most popular martial art and form of self-defense. Tae Kwon Do is great exercise and also builds confidence, character and self-control. Parents report that their children become more focused in school and improve their social relations with others. For families, it is an excellent activity to participate in together no matter what your level of athletic ability. Sun Yi's Academy is located at 255 SE Highway 97, Forest Lake.
  • Fencing Ages 6-Adult

    Fencing is a vigorous sport that develops stamina, quick reactions, speed, accuracy of movement and excellent coordination. Classes begin with warm-up exercises followed by games, footwork and drills in a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Students will learn fencing strategies that require problem solving skills through strategic bouting. Fencers also build confidence and develop their analytical skills by learning and practicing how to referee bouts. Fencers are fully protected with a mask, jacket and gloves. All equipment is provided including safety jackets and masks. Students should wear long athletic pants, a t-shirt, athletic shoes and bring a water bottle.
