  • Golf League - Adult Co-ed Floating 2-Player Best Ball

    Register at Castlewood.golf Men’s, women’s and co-ed teams are welcome to join a golf league that works around your schedule! Grab a partner and participate in Castlewood’s two-person best ball league this summer; April 29 - September 26. Earn prizes, compete in weekly events, meet great people and enjoy quality course conditions at an affordable rate. You and your partner will participate in an organized golf league managed by the staff at Castlewood that allows you to play on your schedule, rather than at a fixed day and time each week. Schedule your tee time, post a score and play against the field! Format: Golfers play their own shot for the duration of each hole. The best score on each hole is posted on the scorecard. Earn points each week depending on your team’s score against the rest of the field. Points are earned by playing each week, winning weekly games and placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in low score against the field. Fees: $135 fee per team 2025 Greens fees are to be determined Carts are available for an additional fee Special Note: Tee times are not available on Tues-Thurs after 3pm due to the course being used by other adult leagues.

The GED® test is a four-subject high school equivalency test that measures skills required by high schools and requested by colleges and employers. The four subjects are Science, Social Studies, Mathematical Reasoning, and Reasoning Through Language Arts. After you pass the GED® test, your diploma or credential will be issued by your state but you’ll receive a GED® transcript to apply to college, start training, or get a better job.   • Yoga - Balance & Strength

    Energize your body while gaining flexibility and strength through the practice of yoga. Using yoga poses, you will stretch and tone muscles while strengthening joints and improving your balance. This class is designed for people of all abilities. Space permitting, in person drop ins are allowed for a fee of $12 paid by check or cash (please bring correct change). Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water. You will be provided with a link prior to class.

    This is a great opportunity to learn or improve your golf game in a class tailored just for women. You will increase your skills by learning correct form and club selection. Each session will cover a different aspect of the game including irons, woods, chipping and putting. We will also cover etiquette of the game and basic golf rules. For those without golf clubs, clubs will be available to use during class. If rain is in the forecast, you can call Tanners Brook at (651) 464-2300 after 5pm on the day of your clinic for information about if a session will need to be rescheduled.
  • Yoga - Hatha Flow

    Build strength while you lengthen and stretch your body by aligning ligaments through this gentle yoga practice. Yoga postures are connected with fluid movements that synchronize with your breathing to reduce stress and improve balance. The instructor will incorporate the fundamentals of yoga and how to move between yoga poses while you build confidence to move on to more challenging poses. This class is most appropriate for people with experience in yoga, however, those new to yoga are welcome. Space permitting, drop ins are allowed for a fee of $12 (correct change required). The summer session will be held outdoors, weather permitting, with an indoor space as a back up. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water, and anything you'd need to be outside; sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and bug spray. There will be no virtual option for this session.

Children attend preschool or childcare programs while parents participate in parent education classes and work on goals that may include GED, English or basic skills.   • GED Test Preparation

    Work individually or in small groups with the guidance of a licensed teacher to prepare for taking your GED tests. We will determine where you need extra support in order to pass all four sections of the GED test. You will have access to instructional materials and timed practice tests. You and your instructor will determine when you are prepared to take each section of the computer based version of the GED. GED-i online test preparation is available on a limited basis to learners who qualify.

    Tennis Clinic for Adults

    Learn the game of tennis from scratch or hone up on your tennis skills by going through the four basic shots required in tennis: the forehand, backhand, volleys and serves. Our goal will be to get you to learn proper techniques for each shot so you will be able to rally by the end of the summer. We want to especially encourage all parents of the students going through the kids’ tennis clinics to register. There’s nothing better than a family that can go out and enjoy tennis together so let us know you have a student registered for any of our tennis clinics and receive a 50% discount for this adult class!   • Simply Stained Glass

    Learn the art of making a stained glass suncatcher. Choose from a variety of small patterns, learn to score, break and grind the glass and then put it back together using copper foil and solder. Please wear shirts with a crew neck and hard finish like denim or t-shirt material; chips of glass will stick in sweaters or fleece. Most of the glass chips will end up by your feet so wear shoes with a closed toe and a hard sole (no Crocs). Supply fee of $15 per session payable to instructor at class. Sign up for multiple sessions if you want to create a more detailed piece; supply fee will depend on the project you choose.

    Root, root, root for the home team as we cheer on the Forest Lake Brewers vs Shoreview Stumpgrinders at 7:30 at Schumacher Field. We’ll have a snack and enjoy some good outdoor time. Schumacher Field is located at 700 3rd Avenue SW in Forest Lake MN.
  • Basketball - Adult

    This is an adult recreation league with a minimum age of 18 to register. Recreational basketball is a great workout and a good time for both new and returning players. Players organize full court or cross court pick-up games and often play shirts and skins. A yellow or gold t-shirt can be worn as an alternative to skins. Pre-registration is required. Register on a week to week basis ($7 each). Registration closes at 4pm each Wednesday. We request that players bring their own ball.
  • Soccer - Adult Outdoor Co-ed

    Join us for outdoor soccer! We'll play on a 35x60 yard field to create a fast paced game of 7v7 soccer. Games will be organized by the volunteer game coordinator. Substitutes will rotate in from the sideline so everyone gets a chance to play. Whether you're experienced or new to soccer, we welcome everyone. Join us for exhilarating match-ups and opportunities to grow as a player and a member of our dynamic soccer-loving community. If rain is in the forecast or the field is too muddy to use, we will notify you by text or email before 4:30pm. We have reserved the gym at the Education Center as a back up space.

    We have over a dozen milkweeds that are native to Minnesota. Let’s chat about the wide variety of these great pollinator plants! Some are wildly popular and very common growing in gardens and local areas. We will also discuss where to buy milkweed plants and seed, plus how and where to add these pollinator magnets to your landscapes. Participants will receive an informational folder full of great publications and several door prizes from local plant specialists will be given away. This class will be held in White Bear Lake.
