Yoga - Core Strength Workout

Build strength with this intense yoga practice. We'll combine a series of flowing postures with rhythmic breathing to develop core strength and balance. Emphasis is on breathing through each posture to attain mind-body connectedness. Yoga detoxifies the body and mind with emphasis on movement, balance and intention. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and water. Beginning to intermediate participants are welcome. Drop-in fee is $9. Yoga Forest is located at 616 North Lake Street, Forest Lake. 

Chris Coleman

Chris became interested in yoga in 2002 and began practicing gentle pregnancy yoga during her first pregnancy. She tried Corepower Yoga and discovered that the power of yoga went well beyond the physical but also connected her mind and body. Chris completed the Corepower teacher training program in spring of 2007 and opened her own studio, Yoga Hus (www.yogahus.com), in Scandia, MN in February 2008. Chris’s classes are based in Ashtanga tradition, an athletic, powerful practice that combines a series of flowing postures with emphasis on rhythmic breathing to develop muscular energy, core strength, balance and to attain mind-body awareness. Chris wants to share her love for yoga with everyone she meets and enjoys teaching yoga to all ages.
